Right on Coup
It's time to track down some more unruly Russian rulers. Namely, Catherine II or, as she is often known, Catherine the Great! Except, she wasn't born in Russia. Nope, she was a minor German princess married off to her cousin Peter III (also German) in 1745 at the tender age of 16. In fact, Catherine wasn't even her name! These unruly royals had a knack for re-naming everybody to suit their purposes and Catherine (Yekaterina in Russian) is the new name she got when she set up shop in Russia. Look for Catherine the Great's ORIGINAL first name in a NOT SO PERFECT book written by an author who shares that name!
