OBITUARIES

Arnold, Irven S., Sr.

Ann Arbor, Ml

Age 87, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2003 peacefully at home. He was born on January 1, 1916 in Bloomington, IN. He was the son of the late Earl and Lula Arnold. On April 19,1938 he married Helen Harrison and she survives. He was a member of Bethesda Bible Church in Ypsilanti, MI and was actively involved in the prison ministry until his death. He retired from the University of Michigan. He is survived by five children, Waldora (Willie) Wells, Marcella Arnold, Irven Jr. (Carolyn), Homer (Patricia deceased) Arnold, and Michael (Yvonne) Arnold; one sister, Bernice Rankin of Crawfordsville, IN.; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 29, 2003 from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be on Monday, June 30, 2003 at 11 am at Bethesda Bible Church, 1800 Huron River Drive, Ypsilanti with the Rev. Leon Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Ann Arbor. Contributions can be made to St. Joseph Hospice Homecare in his name.
