ANGELL ENROLLMENT PROBLEMS: To facilitate school organization and to circumvent the need for a fifth-sixth combination class, Angell Elementary School has been experimenting with methods of teaching children in various group sizes. For one period in the morning and in the afternoon sixth graders are in a class of 40 children. By the same token, they are in a class of 18 to 22 for two periods of skill subjects. There is also a second section of sixth graders which contains 35 children most of the time. A crowded classroom at Angell is pictured above.
