Coed Slaying Clues Lacking

YPSILANTI — Police say they have been unable to uncover any clues to the slaying of a 19-year-oold Eastern Michigan University coed, whose body was found Monday in an abandoned farm yard in Superior Township.

Detectives of the Ypsilanti Police Department and State Police continue to check the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Mary Fleszar on July 9 and discovery of her body last Monday but have not found anything that would solve the mystery.

Miss Fleszar walked out of her apartment at 413 Washtenaw, leaving no trace until her nude and mutilated body was found about three miles away.

An autopsy revealed she had been stabbed many times in the chest.
