CAMPUS KITTENS FROLIC: The sun coaxed these campus-born kittens to play and so disclosed the secret of their mother, who is shown with two of her three youngsters, born and raised thus far in a drainage pipe and basement window recess in front of Alumni Memorial Hall. The third kitten in the family was too camera-shy to come out from his drainage pipe retreat into which he scampered when The News camera man approached.

MEMORIAL TO EXPLORER-ALUMNUS: Mrs. Mina B. Hubbard Ellis of London, England, unveiled a tablet in Alumni Memorial hall Saturday honoring her late first husband, Leonidas Hubbard, jr., who died in Labrador in 1903 on an expedition of exploration. The tablet was presented by members of Mr. Hubbard's class of 1897. Shirley W. Smith, vice-president and secretary of the University and a member of the 1897 class is at the left.
