The Dean Alice Lloyd Memorial for atomic research in cancer, a part of the Michigan Phoenix Project, was discussed at a meeting of the memorial's steering committee yesterday afternoon in the Michigan League. Seated above (left to right) are Mrs. John S. Tennant of Summit, N.J., Mrs. Alexander G. Ruthven, honorary chairman of the Lloyd Memorial, and Miss Hilda Kirby of New York City. Mrs. Tennant and Miss Kirby are co-chairmen of the memorial project. Standing are Mrs. A. C. Furstenberg (left) of Coplye Ave. and Mrs. Peter J. University and city leaders are uniting in the worthwhile project of raising funds for the aid of Finnish war refugees. Immediate efforts are furthering plans for a benefit concert Feb. 27. Mrs. A. C. Furstenberg, seated at the right, is chairman of the ticket committee, while seated at the left is Mrs. Cora Holland, secretary of the general committee. Standing, left toright are: Prof. William D. Revelli, conductor of the University bands, Dr. Alexander G. Ruthven, president of the University, Mayor Walter C. Sadler, Prof. David Mattern, conductor of the University men's glee club, and Rudolph E. Reichert, charman of the Finnish Relief Fund locally.
