'TOM THUMB WEDDING' AT MANCHESTER: One of the features of the program of Manchester annual Community Fair yesterday and today is a "Tom Thumb Wedding" presented by children from the kindergarten and primary rooms of the school, under the direction of Miss Arlene Rosencrants, aided by the grade teachers. The "wedding" will be given tonight in the Civic auditorium. MANCHESTER QUEEN AND HER COURT: Queen Irene Feldkamp and her court presided over the opening events of the annual Gala days celebration yesterday at Manchester, after the queen was crowned by R. B. Haeussler president of the village. The festivities, sponsored by the American Legion and the Chamber of Commerce, continue today and will be concluded with programs by the Ford Entertainers and the Washtenaw County Drum and Bugle Corps tonight. FORD PLANT AT MANCHESTER: Construction of the new Ford plant at Manchester is approximately 90 per cent completed, as the above picture indicates. The project includes creation of a small lake, rerouting of the old road at the east village limits, a new bridge and beautification of the entire area owned by Mr. Ford. Auto parts will be manufactured in the Manchester factory.
