There was two of every item brought to yesterday's ingathering - one to wash and one to wear - and among those in charge of tying items together in two's were (from left) Mrs. Kenneth O. Courtney, ingathering chairman, Mrs. Eugene Wittle and Mrs. Carl Coe. Many guild members and supporters turned out for yesterday's annual event. Guild membership opened yesterday to anyone who contributes two new articles.

The stacks of garments and layette items grew and grew yesterday morning at the Needlework Guild's ingathering as both Mrs. C. James Pilcher (left) and Mrs. Jim L. Hunt (right) will attest. Mrs. Pilcher and Mrs. Hunt are new directors of the guild.

COMMUNITY NURSERY SCHOOL: The nursery school at the Community Center is one of the recipients of items collected by the Ann Arbor Branch of the Needlework Guild of America, Inc., at their annual Ingathering. The nursery program is essentially a play group for children, ages 3 and 4, to gain knowledge of group experience. The Ann Arbor Guild has contributed such household articles as dish towels, aprons, pot holders and dish cloths to the center for 30 years. The Guild has slated its Ingathering for 8 a.m. to noon Monday at the Women's City Club.
