Stadium Blvd. Filling Up: This stretch of highway on the west edge of the city of Ann Arbor is developing as a commercial and industrial area of some proportions. Current construction along the highway includes the addition to Woods Manufacturing Co. (bottom right), to be occupied by Michigan Chandelier Co.; a Packers Outlet structure and Speedway Petroleum Co. station, both farther up the road, and the controversial McMullen project (beyond the bend, at top center) which has been halted by city order. At that point is one of the suggested access routes for the new Detroit-Chicago Expressway. Even Sportsman's Park (center) may give way to progress, for it is reported that it has been listed for sale. But any new construction projects will have to wait the lifting of federal restrictions. Already a wholesale house has had its plans knocked out. It has shelved a warehouse and office building job here "for the duration."
