'WIZARD OF OZ' GOES FRENCH: Fifth and sixth grade students of Mrs. Marilyn Taylor's French classes at Angell Elementary School presented a play in French based on the "Wizard of Oz" this afternoon in the school auditorium. Parents were invited. The play, which had been in rehearsal for 40 hours, was also presented yesterday afternoon. Above (from left) Tom Breidenthal, scarecrow; Janet Polasky, tin woodman; Jackie Howe as Dorothy, and Steve Smith as the cowardly lion, and (on the floor) Patty Dickinson as Toto the dog are pictured in costume.

The cast includes (from the left) Steve Smith as Captaine Crochet, Pat Spensley as Pierre Pan, Betsy Sallade as Michel, Debbie Conard as Jean, Amy Ford as Wendy, and Constance Higham as Clochette. The play was performed to a full house of Angell students yesterday afternoon and will be given again today at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium for the public free of charge.
