Brookside Subdivision on Stone School Rd., just a quarter of a mile south of Stone School (top center) at the junction with Packard Rd., is fast taking shape, as this aerial photograph by News photographer Pete Mann shows. Eugene Hannah, its owner and developer, has 21 houses in various stages of construction in the area. Fifty-four in all are planned. A late-fall completion date has been set. Walden Woods development may be seen in the photograph, above and slightly to the right of Brookside.

The 54-home Brookside subdivision off Stone School Rd., just east of the Ann Arbor city limits, has gained public notice for its rapid development and the speed of lot sales. The project, started March 23, took only nine months for completion. Eugene H. Hannah is the builder and developer for the subdivision. This aerial view shows the houses built along newly laid out roads. The outside row of homes is included in the development. By Sept. 1, about 25 families had their lawns seeded and trees planted.
