Some Sunflower: Easily outstripping the combined height of a man and boy, this giant sunflower measures more than 14 feet and is probably one of the tallest in Ann Arbor. The grower, Undersheriff George R. Randel of 602 Kellogg St. holds Raymond Rohr, 9, of 6901 N. Maple Rd., on his shoulders to illustrate the flower's extreme height. Randel claims no credit for the flower's phenomenal growth.
