Getting ready to attend the new Ann Arbor Child Development Center to be located in the First Presbyterian Church this fall are four local youngsters. The center is designed mainly for low-income mothers who are working or going back to school. Pictured are (from right) Mrs. Vanelle Williams, Wendy and Pamela Williams, Charles Williams, and Lavonda Wilson. Mrs. Williams is chairman of the Community Committee which helped start the center. In the background are Mrs. Anne Shain (right), newly-appointed director of the center, and Mrs. Alice Wilson. Thirty children--aged 2 1/2 to 5--will attend the center, partly financed by the city.
