From Babies To Bank Robbers: May 14, 1954, will be a day long remembered by City Police Capt. Rolland J. Gainsley. A few minutes after midnight, his wife, Marcella, presented him with his fifth child, and third son, David Philip Gainsley. Twelve hours later he flushed an armed bank robber from a juniper bush on Granger Ave. and captured him at gunpoint. The proud and happy mother and father are pictured above with their new child.
