The New Look: Marlene Raboteau (left) and Mrs. Phyllis McClain are two of four women recently hired by the Police Department to operate the radio section of police headquarters. The women will answer telephones and dispatch messages to cruisers, permitting sergeants who formerly had to remain in the office to work outside on supervisory duties. Women have never before been used by the local department on the police radio.
