PARENTS' TIME--'A time to speak, a time to keep silent, a time to smile,' reads the quotation above the windows of Scarlett Intermediate School English teacher [Roseann] Kirkland's classroom. Wednesday evening was 'a time to speak' as parents attended a mini-version of their children's classes during the school's semi-annual Capsule Night.

Completion date for Scarlett Junior High School, on the southeast side of the Mitchell School site, according to planner-expediter Sooren Gozmanian, is still March, 1968. The building was to have opened in September, but strikes and construction problems delayed its opening. The building, Gozmanian says, is now all enclosed and the heat was turned on a few weeks ago. The driveway and parking areas cannot be paved until the spring, however.
