Army Polio Victim Flown Here - A U.S. Army lieutenant, William H. Owen of Detroit, was flown here yesterday from Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. for treatment at the University Hospital's Respiratory Center. Lt. Owen is shown here, encased in the light-weight iron lung in which he traveled, being taken into the hospital. With him are two members of the Army crew that accompanied him on his flight: Capt. G.
