PITTSFIELD PARK CONTINUES TO GROW: Despite government restrictions and material shortages, Pittsfield Park Corp.'s president and architect, Charles Noble of Ann Arbor, reports that building activity will move along through the winter at a good pace. Eleven houses are currently under construction, with other dwellings being planned for as the number of commitments once again begin to add up after last summer's temporary "embargo" on sales was lifted in November.

Pitching into the March of Dimes campaign in an earnest way are these eight Pittsfield Village youngsters who solicit empty soft drink bottles from neighborhood residents, sell the bottles, and turn over the receipts to drive officials. So far the group has collected $7. After a last minute rush to complete construction thew new $50,000 Washtenaw Lanes bowling alley west of Pittsfield Village on Washtenaw Rd. is opening tonight for league bowling. Open bowling will begin Saturday noon. Owned and built by A. B. Whitley and Erwin Neithammer, the structure houses 12 alleys and two shuffleboard courts. A new type of automatic device sets the bowling pins.

PARADE OF PITTSFIELD YOUNGSTERS HERALDS CARNIVAL: Students at Pittsfield School No. 2 dressed in colorful costumes yesterday afternoon and paraded through Pittsfield Village to advertise the gala carnival which will be held at their school Friday night. Proceeds from the carnival will be used to improve the school's playground. The youngsters planned to parade through other parts of the village and East Ann Arbor today, Wednesday and Thursday. Carnival booths will be sponsored by the youngsters themselves and by their parents. Supper will be served at the school from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.
