Due to the COVID-19 virus, all volunteer shifts and orientations are canceled indefinitely. Any shifts or orientations you have signed up for are being canceled. This is being done an effort to protect you and the public.
We will message current and prospective volunteers when there is an update to the volunteer program.
Applications are being accepted, but will not be processed until the volunteer program resumes.

**Attention Returning Volunteers!***
If you have volunteered in the last 365 days you do not need to fill out a new application; just log in above and sign up for a shift. If you have trouble logging in to the volunteer portal please email the Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com.
Individuals interested in volunteering must meet the following requirements:
- 14 years old or older
- 14-17 year-olds must submit a permission slip from a parent or guardian
- applicants 18+ must pass a background check to participate in certain volunteer tasks
- attend a volunteer orientation
- commit to participating in whatever shifts they sign up for

Note: Most of our volunteer opportunities are related to programs and general library support. Shelving books is done by paid staff. We do not offer volunteer opportunities for court-ordered service.
