Beer 'Bust': State Liquor Control Commission Investigator Michael Pekrul, left, and Ann Arbor Police Detective Lt. Eugene L. Staudenmaier pour the first of 349 12-ounce bottles of beer down a drain at the rear of City Hall. The beer, in addition to 12 pints of whiskey, 16 bottles of wine and a quarter barrel of beer, was dumped yesterday into the drain as part f a routine police procedure in disposing of confiscated intoxicants. A state liquor detective is required to attend such dispositions.
