Opened Today: Functional heart of Washtenaw's branch office of the Michigan Unemployment Compensation Commission, 201 E. Liberty St., is the receptionist desk. Here, all clerical, filing and stenographic work will be done for the office, which was formally opened this afternoon. Files pictured above contain the names of all Washtenaw residents covered by Michigan's new unemployment compensation program, which will start July 1. To this desk will come the jobless seeking jobs and the unemployed seeking job insurance payments.
