LIZ JELINEK Artistic Director Liz Jelinek is a familiar name to Ann Arbor Civic Theatre audiences. She has been active in many areas of theatre including makeup, costuming, production, set construction and design, and teaching acting and directing workshops. She has directed productions for Ann Arbor Civic Theatre too numerous to list including, Promises, Promises, As You Like It, Medea, and the award winning Hogan's Goat. Her most recent stage appearance for Civic was in Oklahoma. Li z has directed for other theatre groups in the area including Saline Area Players and Ann Arbor Junior Theatre. In real life, Liz is a most successful real estate salesperson with The Cald we ll and Reinhart Company. DILL MURRELL Musical Director Dill brings to the show an extensive and varied musi· cal and theatrical background. He has organized , led, written for, and participated in jazz combos, big bands, orchestras, entertainment park bands, church choirs, barbershop quartets, and workshop vocal groups for recreation and performance. Theatrically, in the past four years he has played in nine pit orchestras for AACT, Saline Area Players, U of M, Chelsea Players and others; built orchestras for AACT's Promises, Promises and U of M's Purlie; and was musical director and conductor for Oklahoma! (AACT), Camelot (MM Productions/Musket), Fiddler On The Roof and Music Man (Salin e). Dill has appeared on stage in 13 shows, with Sal ine Area Players, AACT, and Musket, and has worked offstage jobs ranging from producing and directing to set painting, sound effects, and programs. TOM COOCH {Charlie Brown) is a re<:ent high school graduate, but a four-year stage veteran, having appeared in South Poe/fie, Arsenic And Old Lace, Our Town, Music Man, Man Of La Mancha (as. the Padre), Inherit The Wind (as Brady) at Ypsilanti High School. Tom also performed in the EMU Holy Trinity Chapel Celebrants' Fiddler on the Roof. Tom plans to attend EMU this fall. 1 CATHY H ILBISH McNE ELA (Lucy), an active voice and piano teacher, has performed as a recitalist at U of M and three other universities. Cathy's theatrical appearances include The Bat, Block Comedy, and ThreePenny Opera at College of Wooster, The Fontastlcks with Cocktail Playhou~, The Boyfriend with Michigan Repertory, and - with AACT Com{XIny (as Apri l) and Fiorello (as Thea). Since moving to Meadville, Pa. last fall, Cathy played Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz and Maggie in Cot On A Hot Tin Roof with Meadvill e Community Theatre.
