CREAL IS CHOSEN LIONS PRESIDENT
Club Holds Annual Dinner At Legion Home
Cecil O. Creal, assistant manager of Homer B. Godfrey, moving and furniture storage firm, was elected president of the Ann Arbor Lions club at a meeting held in the American Legion home last night.
The occasion was the club's annual smelt dinner, the fish for which were furnished by the Escanaba Lions club.
Dr. Carl H. Frye was elected vice president, Bert C. Reynolds second vice president; Albert W. Hooper, third vice president; James Vaughn Bush, secretary; John H. Alexander, treasurer; Gregg E. Liechty, tail twister, and Louis Schaeffer, lion tamer.
The new board of directors, elected last night, will consist of Jay L. Barrett, John Dyer, Arthur E. Greene and Frederick L. Arnet.
Returning from an inspection trip through the State Prison of Southern Michigan, Jackson, members of the Royal Oak Lions club stopped off in Ann Arbor long enough to attend the Ann Arbor Lions club meeting. They were led by their president, Ferris Gardner.
Guest of honor at the meeting was Warden John Ryan of the federal prison at Milan.
