Radio License Is Sought Here

Three Men Form Washtenaw Broadcasting Co.

Articles of incorporation for the Washtenaw Broadcasting Co., Inc., which seeks to establish a radio station in or near Ann Arbor, have been filed with the state corporation and securities commission.

The incorporators were listed as Paul G. Greene, Whitmore Lake contractor; Arthur E. Greene, of Greene's Cleaners & Dyers; and Edward F. Baughn, of Sylvan Village, Pontiac.

$35,000 Capitalization

Capitalization was listed in the papers as $35,000 in common stock, but Mr. Paul Greene said that, if the company obtains a radio station license from the Federal Communications Commission, all of the stock will be held by the incorporators.

A petition for a license is being filed with the federal communication, Mr. Paul Greene said. It asks for authorization to build and operate a broadcasting station of between 250 and 1,000 watts, either on a full-time or day-time basis, in or near Ann Arbor.

Other Papers Filed

Articles of incorporation also have been filed at Lansing by Walter Graves and Ruth Graves for Metrical Laboratories, Inc., of Ann Arbor with capitalization of $20,000 in common stock, and with offices at 417 Detroit St.

The papers said the firm would manufacture, improve, produce and market gauges, micrometers and other tools for accurate measurement of surfaces and mechanical operations; and also to deal in real estate.

Articles of dissolution were filed by the K. D. R. Corp., formed Jan. 7, 1938, by George Downs, D. E. Richardson and Edgar Kahn, to operate in airplanes, parts and equipment.
