Mead Eugene Wiard

YPSILANTI - Mead Eugene Wiard, 56 years old, former resident of this city, died Saturday night in Highland Park General hospital following a short illness with pneumonia.
He was born Aug. 7, 1887, in Ypsilanti, a son of Mr. and Mrs. G. William Wiard, and on April 6, 1911, married Miss Hazel Richardson, of Ypsilanti, who survives him.
He also leaves three sons, Cpl. Alvin L. Wiard, Newport News, Va.; Cpl. William R. Wiard, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Harold Wiard, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Oldfield, Royal Oak. There are two brothers, George N. and Harold L., both of Ypsilanti; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the Moore funeral home here, with Rev. William R. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery here.
