Local Station Will Have Letters WPAG

Application for a Frequency Modulation station has been made by the Washtenaw Broadcasting Co., operator of the post-war standard radio station WPAG, with the Federal Communications Commision, according to Arthur E. Greene, president of the broadcasting company and owner of Greene's Cleaners and Dyers and the American Rug Cleaning works.

The new standard 25-watt daytime radio station, which will operate on 1,050 kilocycles from Ann Arbor,  was approved by the Federal Communications Commission in September. As soon as transmitters are released by the federal government the broadcasting company is planning to install a 1,000-watt transmitter.
