State police medical authorities at East Lansing today were investigating the death of Mrs. Joan DeBaker, 32-year-old Ann Arbor resident, who died in convulsions Saturday several hours after she was taken from her summer home at Dunewood to Mercy Hospital at Manistee.
An autopsy at Manistee failed to show cause of death and Mrs. DeBaker’s body had also been examined by Dr. Carl V. Miller, head of the University hospital pathology department, prior to the beginning of the East Lansing investigation.
The daughter of Dr. Carl D. Camp, professor of neurology at the University, Mrs. DeBaker was the divorced wife of Charles E. DeBaker, Michigan football star and track team captain in the early 1930s.
