Jacob J. Stierle, 82, died yesterday morning at his home at 3391 Parker Rd. in Lodi township, after a lingering illness.
Born Aug. 21, 1863, on that same farm, he lived there all his life.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran church in Scio township.
Surviving are one son, Norman, at home; one daughter, Linda, Ann Arbor; one sister, Mary Stierle, Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the residence, at at 2 o'clock at Salem Lutheran church, with Rev. A. C. Wacker officiating. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the residence.
