Mrs. Laura Stevens

News has been received of the death of Mrs. Laura Warden Stevens, former Ann Arbor resident, which occurred on Oct. 30 at the home of her daughter in Highland Park, Mich.
Mrs. Stevens, 97 years old, was the widow of Major William C. Stevens of the Ninth Michigan Cavalry, who was a graduate of the University of Michigan Law school in 1868. They lived in Ann Arbor from 1882 to 1912.
At the time of her death Mrs. Stevens was the last surviving charter member of the local chapter of the Civil War Women's Relief Corps. She leaves four children, Mrs. Edwin S. Bartlett, Mrs. Samuel C. Crow, Russell A. Stevens and Nelson F. Stevens; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Forest Hill cemetery.
