New commander of the Graf-O’Hara post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars is William Biedermann (above). Biedermann was elected last night, succeeding William Pruner.

Will Succeed Pruner As Post Commander

William, Biedermann of 314 N. Fourth Ave. was named commander of the Graf-O’Hara Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 423 at the post’s annual election last night. He succeeds William Pruner.

Neuman P. Frost, jr., former junior vice-commander, was elected senior vice-commander, the rank vacated by Biedermann. Elmer Mayer was named junior vice-commander.

Other officers elected were George Flowerday as post quartermaster, succeeding William Bennett; Francis OBrien as judge advocate, succeeding William Pommerening; Jack Craven as chaplain, replacing Willard Hayhow; and Dr. Neil Gates, jr., as post surgeon, succeeding Dr. Hugh Beebe.

Pruner, former commander, was named trustee, succeeding Flowerday.

Installation of officers will take place at a date to be announced later.
