M. L. Viroqua Lemmon
Miss M. L. Viroqua Lemmon, 52, secretary to the dean of the University Graduate School, died yesterday in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital. Her home was at 3337 C. St. in Dexter.
She was stricken yesterday at the Michigan League and rushed to the hospital.
Miss Lemmon was born in Dexter March 20, 1900, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lemmon. She graduated from Dexter High School and Nazareth College in Kalamazoo.
Miss Lemmon began her career at the University as a bookkeeper in 1918, and had been secretary to the dean since 1942. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dexter and of the Altar Society of the church.
Survivors include one uncle and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held in St. Joseph's Church at 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Charles T. Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Carl Keene Funeral Home after 7 p.m. tonight. Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Thursday evening.
