Mrs. Sarah K. Schaffer, 88, wife of the late William H. Schaffer, died last night at her home, 808 E. Ann St., after an illness of a year.
Mrs. Schaffer was born on Dec. 21, 1865, in Ann Arbor, a daughter of Israel and Sophia Baldinhofer Kuehnle.
She was a lifelong Ann Arbor resident and a member of the First Methodist Church here.
Her husband died on March 31, 1952
Surviving is a son, Andrew H. Schaffer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews, including John C. Fritz of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Muehlig Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill R. Abbey officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
