BRIGHTON - Mrs. Emma Townsend of 376 Island Lake Dr. died Wednesday after a three years' illness.
She was born March 13, 1881, at Bay City, a daughter of Charles and Fannie Segwart Klinger. She married James Townsend on Jan. 2, 1937, at Brighton. He survives. She was a member of the Royal League.
Surviving are a son, Harry Schooley, by a former marriage, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Matilda Maher of Flint.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Keehn Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. M. McLucas officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
