Mrs. Stella Burroughs
Mrs. Stella Burroughs, 85, of 1004 Vaughan Ave., died Monday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
She was born March 4, 1872, at Westerville, O., the daughter of Lewis and Medora Hutches Ranck. She was a former employe of the Consumer's Power Co. in Jackson and moved to Ann Arbor 25 years ago.
Mrs. Burroughs belonged to the First Methodist Church of Ann Arbor and formerly was a member of the Ann Arbor Women's Club.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. M. L. Smith, and a nephew, Lewis J. Ranck, both of Westerville; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home, the Rev. Erland J. Wangdahl officiating. Cremation will follow with remains to be placed in the Otterbein Cemetery at Westerville. Contributions may be made to Senior Citizens Guild, Inc., at 439 S. Ashley St. Friends may call at the funeral home.
