MRS. H. WICKMAN

Illness Of Four Weeks Fatal To Local Woman

Mrs. Helena Wickman, 77, of 102 Westwood Ave. died early this morning in University Hospital after an illness of four weeks.

She was born Jan. 21, 1880, in Jakobstad, Finland, daughter of Lars and Ana Jacobson Jonasson. She came to Ironwood, Mich., in 1888. In 1898 she married Axel Wickman, who died in September, 1936.

She came to Ann Arbor a year ago to make her home with her daughter here.

Surviving are three daughters, Miss Agnes and Miss Hildur Wickman and Mrs. Albert (Dorothy) Basso, all of Ann Arbor; three sons, Dr. Waldemar of Washington, D.C., and Thure W. of Lake Orion and Nestor W. of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; seven grandchildren and five great-children, and a sister, Mrs. Carl Maberg of Ironwood.

Friends may call this evening at the Muehlig Chapel. The body will be taken to the Ketola Funeral Home in Ironwood.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Ironwood. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery there.
