Word has been received here of the death Wednesday night in McConnellsburg, Pa., of John W. Mentzer, 63, father of Mrs. Jacques Les Strang of 2427 Londonderry Rd., Ann Arbor.
Mr. Mentzer, prosecuting attorney of Fulton county, Pa., for 25 years, served as legal counsel for the Pennsylvania Utility Commission for some years. He also was a past international director of the Lions Club and active in the Republican Party.
In addition to Mrs. Les Strang and three grandchildren in Ann Arbor, survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Evans of Lakewood, N. J., and a son, John, of Washington, D. C.
