Holland, a small quaint land dotted with windmills, is unique among the countries of the world. lts network of canals is unparalleled elsewhere in the universe, forming an important link to the sea. Rotterdam, Holland’s principal seaport, is the second largest harbor in the world.
Visits are made to Amsterdam and Delft where the industries identified with those cities are filmed; the world’s largest diamond cutting center in Amsterdam, the famous Delft Blue Pottery works, the Cheese market and gigantic cheese auction in Alkmaar. Amsterdam is also the home of the Rijkesmuseum, the distinguished gallery which displays a priceless collection of the works of great Dutch painters.
The film includes a tour of the nursery areas at Keukenhof where bulbs of every conceivable variety are grown and are shown in full bloom.
Tickets for the travelogue are on sale at the Auditorium box office, which is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased for the following Thursday nights when “Bermuda-Nassau” and “Spain” will be shown.
