‘Satchmo’ Plays Here March 5
Jazz trumpeter Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong and his All Stars will highlight the University’s fifth Spring Show in performances at 7:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.,March 5, in Hill Auditorium.
The show, which has featured June Christy and the Kingston Trio, is co-sponsored by the Interhouse Council (IHC) and the Assembly Association.
Profits will support the education funds of these student organizations. Last year, the show added about $1,500 to both funds, says Boron L. Chertkov, IHC president.
Tickets will go on sale from 1 to 5 p.m. daily this week in the Women’s League Undergraduate Offices. Next Week, they will be available at the Hill Auditorium box office.
Tickets may be purchased by mail with check and a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
