Mrs. Annie MacFall, 79, a native of Ireland and a resident of Ann Arbor for 48 years, died Thursday evening at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after being in failing health for some time.
She formerly resided at 204 W. Jefferson Ave., and for the past year had lived with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John E. MacFall of 4 Lake Dr., near South Lyon.
Mrs. MacFall was born on May 29, 1880, at Moyarget, Antrim county, Ireland, a daughter of Samuel and Margaret Kirkpatrick. She came to Philadelphia, Pa., where she married John MacFall on Aug. 28, 1907. The couple moved to Ann Arbor in 1911. He died here on July 20, 1955.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church here. Survivors, in addition to her sons, John, include another son, William P. MacFall of Ann Arbor; five grandchildren; and a brother and sister in Ireland.
Funeral services for Mrs. MacFall will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ferris Woodruf of South Lyon officiating.
Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park.
