WHITMORE LAKE - Funeral services for Irving E. Field, 65, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Phillips Funeral Home in South Lyon. The Rev. C. B. Culver will officiate. Burial will be made in Green Oak Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Mr. Field was electrocuted last night when he was entangled in a power line that fell in the wheat field of his farm at 10574 US-23, Green Oak township.
Mr. Field was born Aug. 30, 1894, in Green Oak township, a son of Ela and Carrie Fisher Field. He married Alta Chamberlain on Aug. 25, 1915, in Green Oak township. She survives.
A lifelong resident of Green Oak township, Mr. Field was a member of the Free Methodist Church at Silver Lake.
