E. G. Kuebler
Eugene G. Kuebler of 601 E. Huron St., owner and operator of the E. G. Kuebler Insurance Agency at that address for 50 years and a lifelong resident of the city, died this morning at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Kuebler, who handled steamship tickets as well as insurance at his local agency, sold the business to Harry Lee French in June.
A graduate of Ann Arbor High School, Mr. Kuebler received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University's College of Engineering in 1914.
Born in Ann Arbor and a resident here all his life, Mr. Kuebler was the son of George and Eugenia Rettich Kuebler. He married Donna A. Behringer in Ann Arbor. She survives.
Mr. Kuebler was a life member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 159, F&AM. He also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Staffan Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Ralph B. Piper officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
