Carpenter, Mrs. Wise (Nellie) Manchester Age 76, died Saturday at the Green Meadow Nursing Home, Stockbridge. Born April 7, 1892 in Magoffin County, Ky. She was the daughter of Jack and Fair Sayler Minnix. On May 12, 1910 she married Wise Carpenter who preceded her in death in 1965. Survivors include: three sons, Zephyr of Chicago, Dorsie of Chelsea and William of Manchester; three daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Nora) Ray of Manchester, Mrs. J. C. (Irene) Perkins of Chicago, Mrs. Maxine Hackworth of Jackson; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dona Minnix and Jack Minnix, both of Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Jenter Funeral Home with the Rev. 0. William Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
