Leslie, Dr. Eugene H

Age 84, died Wednesday, October 6, 1976 at his home. He was born August 28, 1892 in Ottawa, Illinois the son of Junson O. and Florence H. Leslie. He resided in Ann Arbor since 1919. He married Emily E. Ebner, in Los Angeles, California, on November 10, 1927. He was a former professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Dr. Leslie began the doctoral program in that field. He revolutionized the petroleum industry by introducing new and better refining methods. He designed the first United States Synthetic Rubber Plant. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Northside Community Church with the Rev. Don A. Yost officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Building Fund.
