Mulholland, Orpha Nixon
Age 88, died Sunday, December 23, 1984 at the University Hospital. She was born July 17, 1896, in Dundee Twp., Monroe County, a daughter of John D. and Jane Cone Throop. On March 11, 1916, she was married to Nathan Nixon; he preceded her in death October 4, 1957. She was married to Walter Mulholland July 16, 1960; he preceded her in death August 18, 1967. Mrs. Mulholland was formerly a member of West Side Methodist Church. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and a life member of the Model Homemakers. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Berenice) Quackenbush of Dixboro, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Wallace of Jackson, Calif.; two step children, Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Hanselmann and Lloyd Mulholland both of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 27, 1984 at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Wm. Cardwell Prout officiating. In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Muehlig Chapel.
