The city of Ann Arbor's Leslie Science Center at 1831 Traver Road, developed as a children's learning science center, will open its doors to the public June 1. Among featured activities will be a solar energy demonstration, movies, a variety of exhibits and displays, and musical entertainment. Regular activities are scheduled 1-4 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony planned for 1:30 p.m. A pre-opening bird walk and buffet breakfast will occur at 6:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Participation in the walk and breakfast requires pre-registration. For additional information, call 662-7802.
