Lindsay, Powell
Ann Arbor, Mich.

Age 82, died Tuesday, September 22, 1987 at his home after a long term bout with cancer. H was born September 2, 1905 in Philadelphia, the only child of Henry and Addie Trower Lindsay. Mr. Lindsay was an ex-Broadway producer-director-playwrite-actor. His theatrical career began i the late
'30s, then in the mid-'60s to Ann Arbor, and Lansing where he served the State Legislative Service Bureau and revived Suitcase Theatre until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Lindsay is survived by his wife and collaborator, June; a son, Raymond of Mt. Vernon, N.U.; and a stepson, Kris Costa-McKee, of Towson, MD. A Baha'i memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, at 11 a.m. from the Muehlig Chapel Mausoleum in Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Powell Lindsay Memorial Fund in care of M.U.T.U.A.L. A.I.D., 2339 South Circle Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. The Fund will award grants to young professionals and students in theatre exemplifying in their work recognition of the oneness of all people, the religions and deity, with awareness that elimination of prejudices is the most challenging issue for conflict resolution, social justice and world peace. `Muehlig Chapel, Ann Arbor
