Age 80, died Friday, July 7, 1995 at University of Michigan Hospital. She was born June 11, 1915 in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Samuel and Maggie Bostic. Mildred married Wallace Roy Officer in 1938 and he preceded her in death. Mildred had been an office worker at the Ann Arbor Y and was retired. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God and was active in civic and community organization. Survivors include her children, Cynthia (Willie) Scott, and James, Ronald (Nita), Nydia, and Jonathan Officer; a sister; three brothers; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister. Visitation Monday, July 10, 12 Noon - 9 p.m. at Lucille's Funeral Home, Ypsilanti. Family hour will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, prior to 11 a.m. service at the Fountain Street Church of God In Christ with Elder Peppers officiating. Burial will take place in the United Memorial Gardens.
