At the age of 46, Steven died at St. Joseph Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the family who will miss him so much. He will be remembered as a man of great compassion, supportive to all he knew, and maintained his sense of humor until the end. On the morning of January 1,1951 Steve was born to parents, Elmer and Vivian Keppler. Surviving Steve is his wife, Terri; one son Tim; one daughter, Stacy; his mother Vivian; one sister, Nancy; two nieces Cindy Byczek, Julie (James) Plantz; great nephew, Justin, and Julie Cubberly; and his in-laws, Jim and Betty Miller, and Glenn and Patti Miller. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer. Steve was a long member of the Home Builder’s Association, the Remodeler’s Association, and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing, building, spending time with family and friends, and putting a smile and a laugh in everyone’s day. Steve was employed with LaRoe Residential Remodeling by his lifelong friend, Paul LeRoe. He leaves a legacy of true friendship, loyalty, strength and courage. Contributions will be put towards a trust funds in the name of Steve’s children. His life will be celebrated at a visitation on Saturday, May 24, at the MUEHLIG CHAPEL from 1-3 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. There will also be visitation at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 25 followed by memorial service at 3 p.m.
