Age 84, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Glacier Hills Nursing Home in Ann Arbor. Helen was born on July 9, 1915 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Hartog) Sixt. Mrs. Lutz had worked for the UofM in various departments over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert P. Lutz. Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Michael P.) Childs; son, Gregg P. Lutz; sister, Dorothy Glass of Marathon, FL; and dear friends, Olivia (Allen) Samuels and Jill (Herbert) Twining. She was one of Jehovah's witnesses for over 50 years. A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall, 2211 N. Maple, Ann Arbor on Saturday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment at the Alger Cemetery in Rocky River, OH. Contributions in Helen's memory may be made to American Diabetes Association or to North Maple Congregational of Jehovah's Witnesses.
