Kooperman, Lucille G.
Ann Arbor, MI
Age 79, died March 5, 2001. Born April 6, 1921 in Lundale, WV. Daughter of Arthur R. and Vivian Della (Lambert) Shipe. On October 12, 1946 she married Joseph C. Kooperman who survives. Lucille received her nursing degree from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing on June 14, 1940. She served as an Army Nurse in WWII and later worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, U of M Hospital and U of M Dental School Oral Surgery. She enjoyed gardening and volunteer work at several organizations. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Ann Arbor. Survivors in addition to her husband are two daughters and sons-in-laws, Donna (Randy) Seilheimer of Kalamazoo, MI and Cheryl (Phil) Morosco of Oak Hill, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Nancy) Kooperman of Brighton, MI; six grandchildren, Michael, David and Carrie Seilheimer, Anthony Morosco, Claire and Keith Kooperman; one brother, Arthur R. Shipe of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvania Menig and Doris Rader; and three brothers, Lester and George Shipe and David who died in infancy. Memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Ann Arbor in the Chapel. She has donated her body to the Medical School at U of M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
